Yes, we are a no-kill shelter but our dogs don't live in a no-die world. We are in a impoverish part of the state where dogs wait for a place in our shelter. They wait for food, care, and a safe place to be. They wait and hope that we will have a place for them before it is too late. Every dog we place enables us to save another life. Abby and a dog that you will never meet hope that she is the one for you.
Abby is as happy as she looks. She is a Coton, a retired Mom who is ready to enjoy a great life being a best friend, a lap dog and devoted family member. If you are not familiar with this great breed, read below. Playful, smart, very charming, entertaining, Abby is a great girl. She has been spayed. All vaccines are current.

Housetrained? Yes! But still, you have to open the door. Just remember - A puppy can't be any more housetrained than you are. For your dog to be successful: use a crate, go out with your dog, praise "right action", and expect more of yourself than you do of your dog. Housetraining tips are in your adoption packet.
We bring 65 dogs to the St. Louis area every Saturday. If you would like to meet this dog, just let us know. We are at PetSmart in O'Fallon, MO the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of each month and PetSmart in Chesterfield on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Saturdays - 11:00 to 5:00.
Adoption Fees and Payment Plans: We take credit cards and checks. Payments can be arranged with a credit card. As with all of our adoptions, we know it is hard to get married on a blind date... even to a wonderful pup. We will take our dog back during the first month and refund your adoption fee less $75. To hold a pup, we ask for a $50 non-refundable deposit if delivery is not made during the same week.
About the breed: Coton De Tulear is a typical bichon-type dog. Very friendly, gentle, affectionate, and alert. Cotons arevery sociable dogs that gets along well with children, other dogs and animals. Very attached to its home and master - wanting always to be in their presence and trying its best to please. The Coton makes a great watchdog. Full of tricks and surprises to fulfill his master's every wish. One of their most endearing traits is a tendency to jump and walk on their hind legs. Their teasing expressions enhance any home willing to spend a few moments a day in the necessary play and grooming routines.
